College Welcome
Welcome to the Heritage College website. At Heritage College we believe that education is about knowing: knowing who you are, knowing how to communicate with and relate to others and knowing your place beyond the classroom and the school. Heritage College is a place that enriches lives and prepares young people for a life of meaning and purpose. It is a place where the learning potential of all students is fostered, where the welfare of students is nurtured and where a concern for others and a sense of self-discipline are priorities.
Heritage College is a medium sized Christian school from Prep to Year 12 where professionally qualified teachers are committed to encouraging students to give God a special place in their lives. Set on two campuses, one at Narre Warren South and our new Secondary campus at Officer, we plan to continue building on our own special strengths and to take advantage of our own unique opportunities.
A combination of several things sets us apart:
-
Modern, developing campuses.
-
Our policy to not grow beyond the small family school atmosphere that is so special here.
-
Strong Christian values and approach to education.
-
Caring, committed Christian teachers.
-
Academic, Spiritual and Social growth supported by: Chaplain, Welfare Officer, ESL, and Learning Support Personnel.
-
Developmental-play Prep program.
-
Specialist Music teacher with extra-curricular music options.
-
A free after-school tutoring/support block each night in the Library.
-
A dedicated ‘transition from primary’ programme for Year 7 students.
-
A resiliency and service focused programme for Year 9 students.
-
Duke of Edinburgh program.
-
The opportunity for Year 10 students to enrol in a VCE subject so that they only need to prepare for five units worth of VCE examinations in Year 12 rather than trying to spread themselves over six units in the final Year 12 year.
-
Small class size in the Prep and VCE years for more individualised teaching.
We would encourage you to consider visiting either campus and invite you to have a chat with the Principal or Head of Primary/Secondary. We trust you will enjoy finding out more about Heritage College, as you make the important decision of where to send your child for their education.
Kindest regards,

PS. Just in case you are thinking that this is a school run by Seventh-day Adventists for Seventh-day Adventist children only, think again. Over half of our students come from homes that are not part of that particular Protestant denomination. We have many families who simply want to have strong Christian values at school to reinforce the values that their home upholds.
